Detect battery degradation in your EV fleet early
Fleet operators detect battery degradation in electric vehicles early
Fits: Production, engineering & maintenance · Logistics & warehousing
You see which vehicles are degrading their battery faster than identical ones while warranty and deployment planning can still help. You plan routes, charging behaviour and resale with figures instead of gut feeling.
Is this for you?
- You operate several identical electric vehicles, such as delivery vans, taxis, buses or company cars.
- The manufacturer portal, telematics or charging system provides battery health (often given as SoH) or at least charging data for export.
- You want to base warranty claims, deployment planning or resale on reliable data.
Export the monthly battery health values for five to ten vehicles over one year from the manufacturer portal or telematics. Replace number plates and driver names with codes such as F01 and have the table analysed with the template below. This shows you whether your data reveals unusual batteries at all.
How to go about it
- Define the vehicle group and goal
- Combine battery and charging data
- Determine normal degradation per model
- Set warning thresholds per model
- Pass warnings to the workshop and dispatch
- Check warnings against workshop findings
