A second, data-based view alongside the lawyer’s assessment: How did comparable proceedings end, and how long did they take? This helps with settlement negotiations, cost risk and deciding whether to take on a matter. In Germany this is still at the trial stage: there are providers and pilot projects, but only a small share of judgments is published, and reliable forecasts are most likely to succeed with many similar proceedings.
